FAQs

Have questions about our architectural metal finishes, custom fabrication, lead times, or installation process? Our FAQ section covers the most common enquiries to help architects, builders, designers, and homeowners better understand how Pureform Metals works. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact our team directly.

What makes Pureform different?

Pureform Metals materials do not reply on traditional coated metals. There are no applied surface coatings—only pure metal. This eliminates the risk of fading, peeling or de-lamination. The finish is embedded within the material itself, delivering a deeper, more permanent aesthetic.

We primarily supply solid metal flat sheets, with fabrication available through our network. Applications include: Architectural cladding, Privacy screens, Perforated panels, Battens, Gates & fencing, Feature façades, Soffits, Internal wall linings, Custom metal fabrication. All solutions are tailored, no off-the-shelf products.

Yes, our metal sheets are supplied in accordance with relevant Australian Standards. Flat metal sheets are deemed-to-satisfy under AS1562.1, where applicable.

Fabricated and folded systems, including cassette panels, are subject to project-specific design and engineering requirements. Wind-load and facade testing for these systems is currently being undertaken, and compliance documentation will be provided once available.

Supporting material certification and documentation can be provided where required.

Yes. Materials can be selected specifically for coastal conditions to ensure long-term durability and corrosion resistance.

This depends on the material, environment, and application. External and coastal conditions will accelerate natural ageing, while protected areas will evolve more subtly. Some metals such as copper are designed to develop character over time.

What types of metals are available?

We work with premium materials including aluminiumstainless steelcopperbrass and titanium. Each offers unique aesthetic and performance characteristics depending on the application. View our range of Finishes here

Yes, our metal is non-combustible and compliant to AS1530.1 (Combustibility) & AS1530.3 (Spread of Flame). Compliance documentation is available on the Resources page.

Our materials are designed for longevity. While warranties are available upon request, most installations will exceed the warranty lifespan when properly specified, installed and maintained.

In most cases, no repair is required. As there are no coatings on our metals, there is nothing to chip or peel. The finish is embedded within the metal, offering superior resistance to visible wear.

Can our metal be fabricated after the finish is applied?

Yes. The finishing process of the metal sheets takes place first, sheets are supplied pre-finished with a protective film over the surface, then fabricating such as folding, perforating and cutting can be commenced either locally or in Italy. This approach sets us apart, as most coating systems are applied after fabrication.

Shop drawings are typically prepared by your architect or fabricator. We can collaborate where required to ensure compatibility with our materials.

This depends on the application, system and material. Some systems require licensed professionals, while others, such as internal flat sheet applications, may be suitable for self-installation. We recommend consulting with your builder or installer.

Do you handle installation?

We do not install directly, however we can recommend experienced installers familiar with our systems.

Our process is structured and transparent: 1. Specification Support, 2. Façade Set-Out Confirmation, 3. Production Drawings, 4. Manufacturing, 5. Packaging & Delivery, 6. Installation Support. We remain involved throughout to ensure the design intent is maintained. To read more about our full process visit Our Story.

What are your lead times?

Lead times are typically 12 weeks from order to delivery. Custom finishes, imagery or fabrication completed in Italy may extend this by an additional 2–4 weeks depending on complexity.

While all our finishes are custom, we do offer a curated range of standard finishes to choose from online. If you wish to customise a standard finish or have a completely new vision, please get in touch and we can work together on it.

Pricing is based on project-specific factors including material selection, sheet size, finishes and fabrication requirements such as perforation, embossing or custom imagery. For all tailored quotes, please get in touch.

Shipping is managed through a dedicated international logistics network from Italy to Australia. Costs are confirmed at the time of order and may vary due to market conditions.

Can you incorporate custom imagery or perforation patterns?

Yes. We can embed custom imagery directly into the metal, including photographic visuals, logos and branding. We also offer a bespoke perforation and embossing design service to create patterns tailored to your project.

We operate at the premium end of the market. Our metal is a specialised product that cannot be substituted by conventional coating processes.

Sheet sizes depend on the material selected. Common formats include:

  • 1220 × 2440mm
  • 1570 × 3000mm

Final panel sizes are determined during fabrication.
